What is the President's 2020 Commission?

The 2020 Commission is a cross section of Louisiana Baptist pastors, staff, denominational leaders and laypersons recruited to examine and evaluate the various missions and ministries supported through the cooperative efforts of Louisiana Baptists. There were 20 subcommittees comprised of 20 people studying 20 ministry areas. The first phase focused on research and evaluation and in the second phase each subcommittee formulated recommendations. The 2020 Steering Committee (the chairpersons of the subcommittees) submitted a final report to the Executive Board in September. Their final report was then presented at the Louisiana Baptist Convention Annual Meeting on Monday, November 11th. Videos from several stages of the President’s 2020 Commission can be viewed below.
