Wedding Officiant Policy (Sample)
- The First Baptist Church requires that a man be licensed or ordained to Gospel Ministry (or both) and properly registered with the State of Louisiana to officiate over a marriage ceremony.
- The First Baptist Church authorizes the Senior Pastor to conduct marriage ceremonies provided he has properly registered with the State of Louisiana.
- Marriage ceremonies conducted in the facilities of First Baptist Church by an officiant other than the Senior Pastor must be approved by the Senior Pastor. Any officiant conducting a marriage in the facilities of First Baptist Church must meet the criteria of “1” above.
- In the absence of a Senior Pastor, the Church shall designate a staff member or church officer to approve marriage officiants.
