Women's Missions & Ministry
The mission of Women’s Missions and Ministry is to help churches and associations develop missions and women's ministry programs that keep us passionate about serving Christ. This is done through:
- Offering leader training for both missions and women’s ministry
- Providing missions events for children, youth and adults
- Providing Women’s Ministry events,
- Developing the program and promotion materials and year round support for the Week of Prayer for State Missions and the Georgia Barnette Offering
- Promoting the weeks of prayer and offerings for North American and International missions
- Providing scholarships for students attending Louisiana College, women attending one of the six Southern Baptist seminaries and mission pastors in Louisiana
- Involving women, children and teens in missions and ministry
- Encouraging our ministers’ wives.
These ministries, events and programs are designed to help us be Kingdom people, striving together to reach our Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and the ends of the earth for Christ. Perhaps it is easily summed up by saying our desire is to help churches and associations develop a heart for Christ and a heart for missions.
