This site is about state missions and the many ways we as Louisiana Baptists interface with state missions. It gives a snapshot of mission activity in the state while encouraging prayer, personal involvement, and financial support.
In a state where one of every two persons is lost or unchurched, we need a revival. Revival will begin with our being so burdened for the lost that we do whatever it takes to share the gospel, the message of salvation, with the hundreds and thousands around us who need Jesus. What do we do?

We pray. Dedicate this year’s Week of Prayer for State Missions to be spent seeking God’s direction for reaching Louisiana for Christ. Call out in prayer the names of the church planters and ministry leaders that you read about.

We get involved. Become aware of those around you who do not know the Lord. Build relationships with them, sharing your faith with them along the way. Be involved in the evangelistic efforts in your own church and association.

We give. The Georgia Barnette State Missions Offering provides financial assistance for missions work in our state. This year, $1,800,000 is necessary to continue work that is already in progress and to begin new work.
